How do I Report Fraud?

Disputing Unauthorized or Authorized Transactions on Your 3Rivers Debit Card

Do you have an unrecognized or unauthorized charge on your account that you wish to dispute with the merchant? 3Rivers can assist in reviewing the charges in question!

Disputing Unauthorized Debit Card Transactions

Unauthorized charges are charges that you NEVER initiated to clear your 3Rivers checking account. By submitting a Fraud Dispute form, you agree that you did not partake in any part of this transaction, and that the transaction will not be connected to your name, email, billing address or phone number. Nor did you have any knowledge of authorizing anyone else to initiate the charge in question.

When submitting the Fraud Dispute form, you also understand that 3Rivers will close the impacted debit card to prevent any further unauthorized charges from clearing. Your card will be closed on the following business day that this form is submitted.

If you would like your card to be closed immediately, please contact us at 800.825.3641, call the 1-800 number located on the back of your card or utilize our Card Controls app.

To submit a Fraud Dispute form login to your online account access, under the Tools & Services Section click the option for Member Requests and complete the necessary form. We will contact you within 24 business hours of receiving the form.

NOTE: Only transactions that have been cleared can be included on this form. If the transaction states “PENDING” or “HOLD,” these cannot be included on this form. You must wait until the transaction states “CLEARED.”

Disputing Authorized Debit Card Transactions

If you authorized a charge to clear on your 3Rivers account, but now have problems with it or the merchant, we can also assist in reviewing those charges. Common issues members may have with authorized transactions include, but are not limited to:

  • Canceled products or services
  • Returned merchandise
  • Hotel cancellations (or other issues)
  • Multiple charges for same purchase
  • Did not receive goods or services as promised
  • Refunds not being received

When submitting the Non-Fraud Dispute form, you also understand that 3Rivers may close the impacted debit card to prevent any further charges from clearing. If we need to close your impacted card you will be notified before the cards closure.

If you would like your card to be closed immediately please contact us at 800.825.3641 or call the 1-800 number located on the back of your card.

3Rivers also may reach out to you regarding your claim to collect supporting documentation. If you have supporting documentation you wish to provide to us, please send it to Fraud@trfcu.org. If we are unable to reach you to gather this supporting documentation, your claim may be denied.

To submit a Non-Fraud Dispute form login to your online account access, click the option for Service Requests and complete the necessary form. We will contact you within 24 business hours of receiving the form.
